  1. California Riverside Ballet hosts Ghostwalk of Riverside - October of each year.
  1. Have dinner at a restaurant new to you (the Inland Empire Entertainment Book – available through Staff Assembly - is a great place for ideas).
  1. Contact the Inland Empire Volunteer Center for ideas as to where you can be placed as a volunteer.
  1. Rancho Mirage has a downtown similar to Rodeo Drive! Day trip to the desert with a Sinatra CD in full swing and visit the legendary hotspots – or stop for a round of golf!
  1. Picnic at the Citrus State Historic Park (don't miss the Museum!)
  1. Spend an afternoon with the kids at Castle Park.
  1. Utilize local libraries! The UCR Libraries and the Riverside Public Library have a wealth of available literature – even books that teach you how to play the piano!
  1. First Sundays – free arts-related/kids-focused/family-friendly events and admission to downtown museums (for info, call the Riverside Arts Council at (951) 680-1345)
  1. Visit Oak Glen (just past Redlands and Yucaipa) for fresh cider, apple pie, apple picking, and more!
  1. Take a leisurely bike ride down Victoria Avenue.
