The Council of UC Staff Assemblies, better known as CUCSA, is an advisory body composed of two delegates from each of the ten campuses, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), and the Office of the President (UCOP). It maintains and enhances communications on matters of interest to staff within the university community, in accordance with California laws and regent policy.

CUCSA was originally formed as the University of California Staff Employee Associations with delegates from six campuses on November 26, 1974 and chartered on July 18, 1975. Council members reviewed staff issues such as sabbaticals, ombuds services, development and counseling. The CUCSA name and acronym was adopted in 1981.

CUCSA presents the staff's perspectives and recommendations on management initiatives. CUCSA has also made presentations to the regents on budget issues, student fee policies, capital programs and domestic partner benefits.
