The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented annually to an exceptional Staff Assembly volunteer. Individuals are nominated by other volunteers and Staff Assembly Executive Board members. The Executive Board reviews and discusses the relative contributions of each candidate before selecting a winner.

Finalists are recognized at the Spring Staff Assembly General Meeting and the winner is announced at the annual Staff Recognition Awards Ceremony held at Chancellor's Residence.

Who is Eligible?

Eligibility extends to any Staff Assembly volunteer. Candidates are nominated by other volunteers and board members.

Selection Process

An individual must be nominated by other Staff Assembly volunteers or the Staff Assembly Executive Board members. Please email the Director of Involvement and Recognition (email is below) for submitting nominations.

Presentation

Winners will be chosen by the Recognition Committee along with the Staff Assembly Executive Board. The winners/runners-up will be announced at a later date. Award recipients will be celebrated for their contributions at a later date.
